Enrolment process
Reception enrolments are now open for families with children starting school next year. In South Australia, there are two intakes for reception each year:
- Term 1 Intake: Children who turn five years old before 1 May can begin at the start of the school year (Term 1).
- Term 3 Intake: Children who turn five years old between 1 May and 31 October can start school in Term 3 of the same year.
To enrol your child, please complete our enrolment enquiry form and provide proof of age and residency. Our friendly staff will then organise for enrolment forms for your child, to be filled out by parents.
If you need further information or guidance, please contact the school office.
If our school is not your local school, you can still apply, but enrolment will only be offered if we have places available.
Visit school enrolment on the department’s website for more information.
Enrolment Requirements
Provide verification documents with enrolment forms, including:
- a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate or passport
- the child’s current immunisation certificate
- a copy of the residency visa for non-Australian residents
- recent proof of address, such as a current utility bill or a lease agreement
- if applicable, any custody documents.
Transition visits
Before starting school, you’ll get a letter to let you know when you can attend a transition visit in term 4 (or term 2 for midyear enrolments). This is for all students starting school.
