As Term 3 draws to a close, I would like to thank parents and families for your support in what have been unprecedented and challenging times. I would also like to publicly acknowledge our wonderful teaching and support staff, who have done an incredible job providing a range of learning experiences for students under challenging circumstances.

Term 3 highlights included:

★             Every class working with an artist in residence to create unique pieces for our upcoming 60th birthday gallery
★             Science week activities promoting the importance of the preservation of our oceans
★             Book week parade celebrating reading and discovery
★             Creation of cultural art murals with valuable contributions from students, staff and professional artists
★             Year 1 students completing the Phonics Screening Check
★             Year 2-7 students completing the PAT Maths and Reading online assessments
★             House Sports competitions and new yard activities
★             Our choir collaborating with other schools at Marion cinemas to participate in the Festival of Music
★             Staff participating in professional learning day focusing on creating and maintaining safe learning environments
★             Updating of our school logo and promotional materials (new pull-up and fence banners now on display)
★             Transition to whole-school Seesaw platform providing greater functionality to connect school / home learning
★             School soccer and netball end of season celebrations (big shout out to our incredible coaches and coordinators)
★             Completion of the first stage of works on our western oval nature play upgrade
★             Transition conferences with families of all 2021 new receptions

★             Warradale Primary School 60th birthday event, from 4pm Thursday 22 October (wk2)
★             School closure day, Friday 23 October (wk2)
★             Governing council meeting, 7pm Monday 2 November (wk4)
★             NAIDOC Week, 8-15 November (wk5)
★             R-5 swimming at Marion Outdoor Pool, Monday 9 to Friday 13 November (wk5)
★             Year 6/7 aquatics, Friday 13 November (wk5)
★             Children’s University Graduation at Brighton Secondary School, Thursday 26 November (wk7)
★             Year 7 graduation, Wednesday 9 December (wk9) at Brighton Secondary School – TBC
**We also plan to reschedule sports day in term 4, following its postponement due to unseasonal weather.
